Brookline is a separate community, not a neighborhood of Boston. It's a great place for anyone who appreciates the resources of the city but prefers a little less congestion and a community feel. Small artisan shops and privately owned bakeries comprise a majority of the local commerce.
Only a short trip to and from downtown on the T, it's easily accessible by public transportation. Washington Square offers outstanding dining and commerce, while Coolidge Corner sports bars, restaurants, small shopping malls and an independent movie theater.
